High School Musical 2 Pop-up Edtion was tonight. Some of the trivia shown included:
--> 500 lanterns were used for the Everyday Scene
--> The stage used in Everyday takes three hours to break apart and 10-12 hours to assemble!
--> When Ryan gives Sharpay a hug after receiving the Star Dazzle Award, the star glued on top of the award trophy breaks, but in the next shot is fixed once again!
--> Most scenes were filmed at night, including "You Are the Music In Me," the scene where Ryan and Chad celebrate after the "I Don't Dance face-off" and more...
--> Green dye is used to make the grass in front of East High look green during "What Time Is It?" Don't worry..its ecologically safe, but not so great for your shoes!
--> Sharpay uses 40 different kinds of lip gloss in HSM2, twice the amount used in HSM1
--> Ashley used 11 & 1/2 cans of hairspray for the golf scene with Troy to keep her hair in shape!
--> "You Are the Music In Me" was choreographed on spot and was originally called "Music's A Magical Thing"
--> For choreography, sets, etc. Sharpay's version of You Are the Music In Me had to be prepared from scratch in four days!
-->Most sounds in the movie were recorded in a studio first, and then added into the movie
--> "You Are the Music In Me" was Oleysa's first solo
--> Ryan & Kelsi both wear 13 hats in the film (Ryan wears 15 including outakes, and he wore eight in the first film)
--> Ashely's flower she wears in All For One is the same one she wore in Bop to the Top!
--> Sharpay's locker and convertible were not painted, but covered in pink vinyl!
--> The piano in Fabulous is 0ver 50 years old, and is the same one used in Everyday, which was painted white and then carried over to the set wet, because it took 36 hours to dry!
--> I Don't Dance was inspired by Gene Kelly, a wonderful choreographer who taught Frank Sinatra to dance using baseball moves!
