For the composure of millions of High School Musical fans around the world, the entire cast of the first and second High School Musical films including Vanessa Hudgens despite the controversy, are 100% confirmed for the third film. Vanessa assured us with this news herself at the DVD Premiere of HSM2. With what phrase? "We are ALL on board" Vanessa Hudgens said, giving the initial kick to all the High Musical School 3 rumors that said she would not be featured in the next film due to the Internet photos that were spread online but meant only for Zac Efron. But with all that finished, Disney has decided to put the problem behind them, and the movie's director already made the first meeting with the cast to confirm his participation in the next film. The song recordings will begin in January of 2008 and the plot will be centered around the East High boys applying to a college university. At the DVD premiere, some of the new film's plot ideas were stated by members of the cast. Ashley Tisdale wishes that Sharpay will become the prom or graduation queen, while Vanessa Hudgens stated that Gabriella will most likely suffer enough through all the commotion in these high school celebrations, especially with Sharpay and her intentions in mind! In addition, they took the time to explain how grateful the cast is for the immense opportunities that High School Musical has offered them. For Zac Efron, the Disney Channel Original Movie transformed his success, love, fame and growth as an actor. These are the reasons he has decided to reprise his role as Troy in the third film, but more importantly, because of the sum of money that was offered to him to reprise the role. So far his only hope for the film is that many will enjoy High School Musical 2 on DVD, which hopefully will bring enough surprises! The DVD, in stores December 11, 2007, includes never-before-seen outakes and additional scenes including a new musical number, karaoke, and step-by-step instruction on how to learn the dances of your favorite High School Musical 2 songs!
